Bay Vista Commons is currently seeking Med Techs (Medical Technicians) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who are seeking secure employment and to enhance their skills in health care by becoming Medical Technicians.
Bay Vista Commons will provide interested CNA’s training through our paid Med-Tech partnership and employment within our Assisting Living and Memory Care campus located in Bremerton.
Wages begin at $20.35/hr. and up to $24.19/hr. depending on related experience.
*Night shift Med Tech and CNA’s receive an additional $3.00/hr.
We offer flexible scheduling to mutually fulfill your needs and ours.
Shifts available: AM-(7am-3pm), Pm (3pm-11pm), NOC (11pm-7am)
Med-Tech Expectations (Full job description available upon request and at interview):
Organize and administer medications, including insulin as prescribed to resident
Observe and communicate to Licensed Nurse any concerns, negative drug effects or interactions if suspected.
Manage Medication Cart with accuracy and competence
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility, as needed
Engage with residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care and medication assistance
Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, medication side effects, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences and report promptly to Director of Nursing or designee.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant license or Med-Technician certificate. A High School Diploma or GED is also required for this position.
