About the role

The Pharmacy Technician provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support, including preparing IVs and unit dose medications under pharmacist supervision. They also manage pharmacy records, billing, inventory, and assist in maintaining nursing station supplies.

Responsibilities

· Prepares, organizes and maintains work area. · Fills containers, prepares and affixes labels, prepackages pharmaceuticals, maintains records, and stocks supplies under supervision. · Prepares and labels IVs, hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapy agents, and other pharmaceutical products. · Responds to patient admission, transfer, discharge, discontinued medication notices, and processes physician orders. · Assists with recordkeeping, billing and accounting functions. · Assists in ordering, receiving, inspecting and adjusting stock. · Maintains floor stock, crash carts and nursing station inspection reports. · Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent · Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or Enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (currently enrolled or upon hire) · Exemplary customer service skills · Requires attention to detail & multi-tasking skills Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans.
