The CNA provides direct patient care, assists with daily living activities, and monitors patient conditions under the supervision of nursing staff. They are responsible for documenting observations, maintaining a clean environment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and/or licensed professional nurse, a nurse aide may participate in direct patient care, selected treatments, documentation of observations and care given, and the reporting of patient’s signs, symptoms, and conditions. All tasks must be performed in compliance with established policies and procedures of Allen Parish Hospital and supervised by the LPN and RN.
