Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Cardiac Nurse, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.

You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve.

That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills.

To further support your nursing career, we offer continuing education opportunities to help you advance your clinical nursing skills.

Provides technical, clinical and related services in the areas of Cardiology and Electrophysiology (EP) relative to Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED); performs interrogations of implanted cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders in an ambulatory setting, or through remote transmission review, in accordance with established clinical protocols and guidelines.

Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm management devices; triages phone calls and completes programming orders according to established protocols; performs in-office device checks, applying considerable knowledge of device reprogramming steps per established protocols.

Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess at least two years of related work experience. Required certifications include a Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support (CPR), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
