The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patient health, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care. They also supervise support staff and advocate for patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities Assess patient health status, identifying actual and potential health concerns Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practices Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes Engage patients and families as active participants in care planning and delivery Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality Delegate and supervise care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Promote a positive unit culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment Uphold standards of patient advocacy, safety, and clinical excellence
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required at the time of hire Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred RNs hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire Licensure & Certifications Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License Professional nursing board certification preferred at hire Professional nursing board certification - Required within 2 years of hire (or when eligible, if eligibility requires more than 2 years of experience)
