Responsibilities
- Perform MR imaging studies across body regions per clinical orders, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and adherence to protocol
- Screen patients for MRI safety, verify orders and patient identity, and address contraindications before imaging
- Position patients and select appropriate coils; optimize imaging parameters and sequences for accurate results
- Monitor patients during scans, assess for adverse events, and maintain patient comfort and safety
- Administer contrast when credentialed and permitted, and coordinate with radiologists regarding findings and image quality
- Maintain and sanitize MRI equipment, document procedures, and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
- Collaborate with radiology team and participate in the on-call rotation as required
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to work in an MRI imaging setting and follow safety protocols
- Availability for on-call rotation (average 1 week every 6 weeks)
- Eligible for a travel assignment and able to commit to a 13-week duration
- Willingness to operate within the listed imaging departments and units per job notes
