Performance/Skills Requirements

Demonstrates ethical behavior in the workplace by exhibiting a high level of character and professional attitude. Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical procedures, terminology, spelling, and punctuation. Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique. Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization. Demonstrates knowledge of processing/sterilizing instruments according to policies and procedures. Demonstrates a willingness and aptitude for learning new skills/technology as needed to perform job proficiently. Demonstrates knowledge of proper care and use of equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of location and proper storage of supplies and equipment. Demonstrates positive attitude and professional behavior at all times. Demonstrates attention to details in all aspects of work.
• Education/Certifications/Experience: Graduation from High School or equivalent. Completed Training from a Surgical Technologist Program, either accredited or hospital based. Certification Preferred. Surgical Technologist license is highly preferred COA certified preferred BLS required within 3 months.

• Demands: Ability to be on feet for long periods of time (up to 12 hours per day) in a fast-paced setting. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop and twist without pain or discomfort. Ability to raise hands and arms to shoulder level without restriction, pain, or discomfort.

• Details: Works at our ASC location at 1300 E 20th St. Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001 This is a PRN position averaging 10 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday. Typical shifts range from 6 to 10 hours, depending on the surgery schedule.
• Compensation will vary based on certification status:
• Non-certified: $25.37 – $29.69 per hour
• Certified: $27.47 – $32.22 per hour
