Performs activities to support patient care under the supervision of licensed staff to include: PT/PTA, OT/COTA or SLP. Perform technical tasks in the area of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates ability to prepare therapy area for patient treatment as directed by therapist. Demonstrates ability to assist therapist in patient education or treatment procedures as directed. Demonstrates ability to use time effectively by utilizing tech schedule and communicating changes with treating staff with patient needs as first priority. Demonstrates safe use of and positioning of equipment to support patient care. Demonstrates knowledge of management of maladaptive behavior. High school graduate or GED required. BLS required. First Aid certification preferred. Previous healthcare experience in therapy setting preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Basic computer skills required.
