The Dialysis Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, including initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments. They are also responsible for preparing equipment, documenting patient conditions, and performing necessary lab work.
Certification as a nursing assistant by the Maryland State Board of Nursing, as a CNA-DT Completion of CCHT or BONENT national certification required. High school diploma or equivalent. BLS from American Heart Association Basic computer skills, to include data entry and retrieval. Ability to coordinate eyes and hands quickly and accurately. Ability to identify and distinguish color, temperature, texture, and size Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, as determined by the nature of the patient care unit. Must be able to push, pull, lift patients and equipment (e.g. beds, stretchers). Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel. One-year experience as a dialysis technician preferable. Pay rate: $19.72 - $27.61/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
