Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- 1. Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.
- 2. Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.
- 3. Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.
- 4. Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.
- 5. Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.
- 6. Provide referrals to medical specialists.
- 7. Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.
- 8. Provides patient education as needed.
- 9. Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.
- 10. Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
- 11. Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- 12. Manages personal clinical inbox.
- 13. Attends provider meetings as requested.
- 14. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*
Education and Experience
Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
Preferred Experience +2 years in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Urgent Care
Certificates and Licenses
- State of Colorado Medical License
- DEA certificate
- BLS/CPR certificate
- ACLS/PALS certification
