Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols and sound judgment. Communicates clearly with patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation. Ensures accurate exam documentation, coding, image archiving, and charge entry using RIS and ISITE systems. Applies ionizing radiation safely and appropriately, adjusting protocols as needed for optimal imaging. Operates complex imaging equipment for image acquisition, analysis, and documentation per protocol. Maintains flexibility across clinical areas, adapting to staffing needs and patient volumes. Collaborates effectively with team members, physicians, and patients to support efficient care delivery. Administers oral and rectal contrast following physician orders and departmental policies. Follows safety protocols, including patient identification and universal procedures, while documenting patient history. Demonstrates a commitment to learning and teaching, serving as a resource for new staff and students.

Shift

7AM-3PM, 7:30AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4PM, 9AM-5PM, 10AM-6PM, Monday- Friday. The positions shifts/day are subject to change based on hospital needs.

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.

When rotating between two or more specialties, must hold registry in each specialty.

Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT certified in Radiography with a secondary Imaging Registry required.

Must maintain 2 imaging registries/certifications and maintain competency in all as required by hiring Business Unit (Diagnostic Tech's who rotate between Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology are required to have their primary registry in Radiology only and maintain competency in Interventional Radiology.) Must be willing and demonstrate flexibility to be assigned to any of the maintained registries by leadership.

Must provide flexibility to work least one off-shift (evening, nights or weekend), every 90 days as requested by imaging leadership.

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

Requires graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology and current ARRT certification in Radiography with a secondary imaging registry. Candidates must also hold BLS or CPR certification and maintain competency in all assigned imaging specialties.
