UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Casual Interventional Technologist to support our dynamic Interventional Radiology team!

This role offers daylight hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM) with weekend and holiday rotations — perfect for experienced techs picking up extra hours or recent grads ready to jump in and learn.

What You’ll Do Assist proceduralists and administer contrast following established protocols.

Position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure aseptic technique throughout each procedure.

Review patient history, verify physician orders, and document information accurately in the EMR.

Communicate clearly with patients to ease concerns and explain procedures.

Maintain accurate tracking, coding, and image archiving in all systems.

Support cross-departmental needs by performing general radiographic procedures as needed.

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required. CPR or BLS Required. ARRT Certificate Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology and hold current ARRT certification. Additionally, a valid CPR or BLS certification is required for this position.
