City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.

The successful candidate: Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with one Saturday per month and 1-2 holiday coverage shifts annually.

Job Responsibilities Physical Therapist performs evaluations, screenings, develops plans of care, and provides direct patient care.

Independently develops and implements physical therapy treatment programs, utilizing clinical judgment to modify treatment plans based on patients' changing medical conditions.

Responsible for assessing patient needs, establishing individualized goals, and providing therapeutic interventions to maximize functional outcomes and quality of life.

Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Conducts educational in-services on the benefits of Physical Therapy for patients and families, hospital staff, and the community.

Non-patient care responsibilities include assisting with departmental clerical duties, charge posting, and light housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department.

Works under the general and direct supervision of the Director and Manager of Rehabilitation Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of two years of experience. Current Illinois Physical Therapist License, or candidate with an approval letter from Continental Testing Services, Inc. for the Physical Therapy licensure examination in accordance with the Illinois Physical Therapy Act. Current CPR certification.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree or DPT, or a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience. A current Illinois Physical Therapist license and CPR certification are required.
