Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination Maintains cleanliness of room, sterilize equipment and keep adequate stock of supplies on hand Carefully position patient in order to obtain correct imaging, ensuring patient is comfortable and safe throughout procedure Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast Address patient concerns during procedure, and explain CT process using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation Maintains quality of CT equipment by following company standards and procedures, and promotes continuous quality improvement Provide education, training and direction to new technologists Accurately document CT data into patient's chart According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist , perform all job related functions as a CT Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physician Perform all other duties as assigned Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions QUALITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
Quick, accurate decision making Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized Technical, skilled expertise Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions Interpersonal skills, with passion and sensitivity towards patient care
Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program and/or accredited CT program ARRT registered in radiography ( CT specific registered preferred ) Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting Prior experience favorable with Siemens CT equipment slice scanners Proficiency running advanced CT studies independently IEMA Licensure CPR-BLS Certification
