Lakeview Hospital is looking for a Perioperative Surgery Assistant to join our team!
The Perioperative Surgery Assistant will assist surgical personnel in the provision of patient care according to department and hospital standards. They complete other supportive tasks as necessary to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the surgery environment. This role supports the Sterile Supply Coordinator and is cross-trained to this position.
The Perioperative Surgery Assistant will understand sterile technique (can recognize sterile field), OR processes/procedures, and be able to facilitate turnovers (cleaning of the OR, proper disposal of hazardous waste, regular waste, linens). This role requires excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills, and the ability to take direction and work independently.
• Day/Evening shift, Monday-Friday.
This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day/evening shift position, working in Stillwater, MN.
The full salary range for this position is $20.13-$30.19 per hour, based on experience and internal equity, plus shift differentials.
This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
