High School diploma or equivalent to diploma (college degree preferred). Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting. 2-3 years' experience working within an outpatient medical clinic setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Spreadsheets and other electronic computer programs. Ability to maintain records and files. Ability to navigate an EHR system. Ability to work the hours and days required by position, including daily 5:30 am start times. Current First Aid/CPR certification required. Knowledge of Community Resources Experience conducting insurance verification. Experience in outreach and inter-agency referral services preferred.
