Consistently delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations. Integrates and demonstrates CORE values and Expectations for Personal and Service Excellence to guide professional behaviors, while adhering to the policies and procedures of UPHDM. Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests. Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) training preferred.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current RN license in the State of Iowa. At least one year of nursing experience is required, with pediatric experience preferred.
