The Pharmacy Tech works in the Pharmacy Services Department at Griffin Memorial Hospital. Incumbents in this position are assigned responsibilities for assisting in filling prescriptions and dispensing drugs. The functions in this job family will vary by level, but may include the following: Assisting pharmacist in filling prescriptions and counting pills; uses electronic pill counter Receiving and completing inventory reports for medical and surgical supplies requisitioned. Typing labels and posts all information on appropriate records. Distributing filled and labeled prescriptions to nursing stations. Job Type/Salary: Full-time, 12 hour shifts $40,000/year - $19.23/hour Monday - Friday 6 am - 6 pm, as well as some holidays and weekends 6 am - 1 pm Non-exempt Posted until filled Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Three years of experience as a pharmacy clerk and possession of a pharmacy technician permit issued by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy and/or other recognized pharmacy technician certification board as required by the hiring entity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting the completion of thirty semester hours of college course work for each year of the required experience. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services. Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Preplacement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result. THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK.
