SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This fulltime role will work days (Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM). Must be willing to work at multiple clinic locations. Purpose of this position: Under the general direction of the Physical Therapy Supervisor, provides physical therapy services to patients following the plan of care established by a physical therapist.
Under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides physical therapy services including treatment, discharge planning and education Observes and reports the patient's responses to the physical therapist Properly applies and operates rehabilitative equipment Assists with department orientation as assigned Assists physical therapist with PTA student education activities Delegates appropriate activities to nursing assistants consistent with their training and skill (patient transfers, patient transport, and assisting therapist directly with care) under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist Educates patients and care givers based on established care plan Performs clerical task as delegated Completes all documentation and charges of services per departmental standard
Completion of a two year program (AA Degree) for Physical Therapist Assistant approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
Two years’ experience with a varied patient population Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Ability to use a computer system, including Microsoft Office Products Ability to work with a diverse range of patients License/Certifications: Possession of valid Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy
Requires completion of a two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Must possess a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
