Responsibilities

The Division of Hematopathology in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is actively recruiting a staff hematopathologist. The Division includes 43 hematopathologists, cytogeneticists, clinical pathologists and hematologists whose diverse clinical practice encompasses all aspects of benign and malignant hematopathology from both the internal Mayo Clinic practice and the Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL) reference laboratory. Our faculty is committed to excellence in clinical practice, education, and translational research. The breadth of entities encountered in our hematopathology practice and the depth of the diagnostic tools available for their evaluation are unparalleled, creating outstanding opportunities for professional growth and career development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates must be American Board of Pathology-board certified/eligible in Hematopathology.
  • Candidates must possess solid diagnostic skills in bone marrow and/or lymph node pathology.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical teaching and academic activities.
  • This would include junior candidates who intend to develop a career focused on Hematopathology as well as mid-career candidates who have a proven clinical record and strong academic interests.
  • Both recent graduates and experienced pathologists are encouraged to apply.
