What You'll Be Doing Plans and provides mental health screening assessments, crisis supportive interventions, dispositions and referrals, in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisis. Conduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavement, conduct comprehensive clinical assessment, and assess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department What We're Looking For Education: Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred Experience: 2 –4 years Related Experience, knowledge of Diagnosis Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorder
Version V (DSM-5) diagnosis and psychotropic medications Skills: Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention. Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete Monday-Friday / Rotating weekend (11:30pm to 8:00am)
