The Emergency Technician provides direct patient care and assists physicians or nurse practitioners during medical procedures. They are responsible for maintaining sterile techniques and preparing necessary instruments, sutures, and equipment for the emergency team.
Emergency Technician at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is a per diem part time position working during weekdays and weekends on a variable shift.
Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Upon hire: Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually
1 year Relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred.
Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.
Preferred Qualifications
• Upon hire: Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate
Candidates must hold a National Provider BLS certification and complete PMAB training annually. At least one year of relevant clinical or patient care experience is preferred, along with relevant certifications like EMT, Paramedic, or CNA.
