The LPN will perform direct patient care duties including medication administration, patient education, and clinical procedures. They will also facilitate patient flow and manage telephone communications regarding test results and scheduling.
Position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations/designee. Perform a variety of duties involving direct patient care, such as medication administration, patient and family teaching, rooming, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and within the scope of practical nursing. Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office. May be responsible for telephone communication with patients including communication of test results, surgery schedules, procedures and providing appropriate counsel and follow-up under the direction of a designated supervisor. Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information as appropriate. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. Position requires nurse to travel to SPG Primary Care sites where there may be a staffing shortage, ensuring patient care is delivered safely and appropriately.
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required. Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable. Six months or more experience in related setting preferred. Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing and hold a current LPN license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and experience with Electronic Health Records are required.
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $28.66 - USD $44.60 /Hr.
