Requirements

Active North Carolina RN license
Current BLS certification
Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile, and/or emergency nursing
Ability to work independently as the only nurse on-site during part of the shift
Competence with EHR systems and telehealth equipment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Must attend orientation Oct. 7–8 (9am–5pm) & the remainder of that week (7am–3:30pm), either in person or online with camera on.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care within the full scope of RN practice for adolescents
Administer medications and treatments safely and in compliance with regulations
Monitor and document patient health status
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records
Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity of care
Utilize telehealth equipment and participate in virtual consultations
Support health, safety, and wellness in a secure environment
Complete facility orientation and ongoing required training
