The Dental Hygienist will perform comprehensive oral hygiene care, including periodontal scaling, root planing, and soft-tissue laser therapy. They are also responsible for diagnostic screenings, digital radiography, and educating patients on oral health and treatment plans.
As our Dental Hygienist, you will be the cornerstone of our preventive and periodontal care programs. Partnering directly with Dr. Kleiner and our dedicated hygiene team, you will utilize modern hygiene protocols and soft-tissue laser technology to help our patients achieve optimal oral and systemic health while building long-lasting relationships in a supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Oral Hygiene Care: Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planing (SRP), and full-mouth debridement using gentle, thorough techniques. Laser Therapy: Administer soft-tissue laser periodontal therapy and laser-assisted bacteria reduction in accordance with practice protocols and Arizona state regulations. Diagnostic Screening: Conduct periodontal assessments, evaluate probing depths, review medical histories, and perform oral cancer screenings. Digital Radiography: Take crisp, low-radiation digital X-rays (Dexis/Dentiray) and intraoral photos to assist doctors with diagnostic planning. Patient Education & Case Acceptance: Educate patients on custom home care regimens, periodontal disease progression, and the value of recommended restorative and preventive treatments. Infection Control & Compliance: Maintain immaculate operatory sanitation, instrument sterilization, and strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements Active Arizona Dental Hygienist License: Current, unencumbered license issued by the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners (required). Laser Certification: Active Arizona Dental Laser Certification (required prior to start date). CPR/BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification for healthcare providers (required). Anesthesia & N2O Credentials: Arizona Local Anesthesia Certification and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia Certification (preferred). Clinical & Soft Skills: Demonstrated expertise in periodontal disease identification, SRP execution, soft-tissue management, and an empathetic chairside manner.
