The Certified Nursing Assistant assists Registered Nurses in providing comprehensive patient care by performing clinical duties and monitoring patient health. Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with patient mobility and transfers.
Certified Nursing Assistant – Float Pool Unit at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. This posting represents a .9 FTE, NIGHT shift opening (7pm-7:30am, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

In this position you will
Contribute to a high functioning team
Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
Other duties as assigned
The Certified Nursing Assistant assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Requirements
Candidates must hold an Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License and a National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association. One year of prior experience as a CNA is preferred.
