  • Impact: In this onsite position, you report to the Center Administrator and take on a more specialized role. Instead of just helping with procedures, you become a Patient Specialist. Your main job is to make sure patients are fully prepared before the doctor sees them. By doing this, you allow the doctors to concentrate only on making medical decisions, because everything else is complete.

  • Rooming: Beyond standard vitals, you will perform "Intake," including medication and allergy verification, patient history documentation, and conducting validated screenings as needed (e.g., PHQ-2, Fall Risk, etc.).

  • Management: Manage the EMR inbox using specific routing rules to handle patient messages, lab results, and medication adherence follow-ups with pharmacies. Your goal is a same-day "touch" for all tasks to maintain clinical flow.
  • Education &
  • Loop-Back: Your role is to make sure patients really understand what they need to do next. You do this by asking them to repeat back the instructions in their own words (the loop-back method). This helps avoid mistakes or confusion, so things don't have to be redone, and helps patients stay healthier.
