About the role

The EEG Technician performs EEG procedures to monitor and record electrical brain activity for patients. They work collaboratively with the Neurodiagnostic team to assist physicians in identifying brain abnormalities.

Corewell Health is offering up to $6,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity to external hires!

About the unit The Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Assistants.

These individuals work together to set up patients with appropriate equipment, allowing for monitoring and recording of electrical activity of a patient’s brain waves.

This in turn allows us to provide physicians proof of any brain abnormalities.

The team provides support for Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan and 35 Michigan.

Scope of work The EEG Technician is an entry to mid-level position that performs EEG procedures according to department and Corewell Health policy and procedures.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or Equivalent Required Associates Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electro neurodiagnostic (END) Program Preferred 6 Months Relevant Neurodiagnostic/EEG Experience Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of relevant neurodiagnostic or EEG experience. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
