Mary's Acute Care Richmond Heights, MO Full-time (FTE) Float SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a full-time, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or a Clinical Fellow eligible for certification, to join our highly collaborative Regional Speech Department as a Float Speech-Language Pathologist.

This unique position offers the opportunity to provide care across a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health, serving a diverse patient population throughout the greater St.

Louis region.

Coverage Areas This position will provide coverage across the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network, including: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Richmond Heights (St.

Mary's) SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Bridgeton (DePaul) SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Lake Saint Louis (St.

Joseph's West) Acute Care Therapy Services SSM Health St.

Mary's Hospital – St.

Louis SSM Health DePaul Hospital – Bridgeton SSM Health St.

Clare Hospital – Fenton SSM Health St.

Joseph Hospital – St.

Charles SSM Health St.

Joseph Hospital West – Lake Saint Louis Home Health Services Western home care territories serving communities west of St.

Louis About SSM Health Rehabilitation Network SSM Health Rehabilitation Network encompasses five SSM Health acute care hospitals across the St.

Louis metropolitan region and three inpatient rehabilitation hospitals.

Two rehabilitation hospitals are located within acute care facilities, while one is a standalone 60-bed rehabilitation hospital in Bridgeton.

Our extensive network provides patients with seamless access to specialized rehabilitative services across the continuum of care.

This regional model promotes collaboration among clinicians, continuity of care for patients, and opportunities for professional growth and clinical specialization.

Preference may be given to candidates who have completed clinical rotations or have prior experience within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs. Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health settings. Assess, treat, and manage swallowing, communication, cognitive-linguistic, and voice disorders. Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate. Design functional treatment programs that promote safe discharge and return to community participation. Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and professional growth activities. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license, or eligibility for state licensure. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship requirements. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations. Preferred Experience independently performing and interpreting: Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/MBS) Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Prior experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, or medically complex adult populations. Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or be eligible for licensure, along with ASHA certification or Clinical Fellowship eligibility. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between various clinical sites.
