The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the maintenance, care, and preparation of all surgical instruments. They play a critical role in the operating room by supporting surgeons and ensuring high standards of infection control.

Surgical Institute of Reading is hiring a full-time Sterile Processing Technician Welcome to Surgical Institute of Reading At Surgical Institute of Reading, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high-quality, service-oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission. SIR has ranked in the top 100 hospitals for total joint replacement for five years and for spine surgery for the last two years. Our state-of-the-art facility has five operating rooms and one procedure room, allowing surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Anesthesia, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Foot & Ankle, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, General, and Spinal Surgery. Sterile Processing Tech at Surgical Institute of Reading

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgical cases.

Qualifications: · High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience

· Completion of a Sterile Processing Certification program is preferred

· Experience with all types of sterilizers

· Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures

· Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items

· Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed

Requirements
