As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that help patients recover from illness, injury, surgery, or chronic health conditions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Certified or licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA or equivalent) current Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting and or previous home health experience.preferred Experience working with geriatric and medically complex patients.Electronic medical record (EMR) experience. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance. Ability to travel throughout Johnson County. Physical ability to assist patients with transfers, mobility training, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and activities of daily living. Current CPR certification. Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills. Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, reference checks, and any other screenings required by VNA and applicable state and federal regulations.
