Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Grapevine, Texas Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - NICU Acute PRN Weekend availabilty required Weekday PRN Rate:$60/hr Weekend PRN rate: $66/hr We are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our acute care team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team. Must have NICU experience. This is level 3 NICU. Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required. Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required. Acute care experience, minimum one year required Competency with MBSS, strongly preferred Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills #BSWIR - Inpatient Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
Requires current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Must have at least one year of acute care experience and specific experience in a level 3 NICU.
