The Nova III Program is a Resources for Human Development residential behavioral health program that provides supportive services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Through person-centered and trauma-informed care, Nova III helps individuals strengthen recovery skills, build community connections, and work toward greater independence and improved quality of life.

What you'll do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation and household responsibilities
- Provide supervision, support, and encouragement to individuals working toward recovery goals
- Help individuals develop skills that improve independence and overall quality of life
- Foster a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment
- Support individuals in building relationships and participating in community activities
- Complete required documentation and service records accurately and on time
- Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations
- Facilitate and document groups as assigned
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community activities, and services
- Monitor medications as assigned and maintain required documentation
- Support implementation of treatment plans and service goals
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic computer and internet literacy
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and documenting in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of or willingness to work with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges
- Ability to complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, and other assigned trainings
- Preferred
- Previous experience in human services, behavioral health, or residential services
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
- Experience with group facilitation and documentation
- Schedule
- On-Call
- Flexible scheduling based on program needs
- Ability to pick up shifts as available
- Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
- Schedule subject to change based on business needs
- Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and drive as needed
- Ability to transport individuals safely when required
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
