The technician performs echocardiographic procedures and operates imaging equipment to provide cardiologists with high-quality diagnostic images. They also coordinate departmental communications and participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure efficient patient care.

Job Type: Full Time
Up to $20,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
Under the direction of the Medical Director and the Director of Special Diagnostics, performs technical duties required in a variety of echocardiographic procedures.
Operates imaging equipment in compliance with manufacture specifications.
Follows protocols for Imaging physician ordered exams.
Obtains optimum diagnostic imaging of the heart to aid in diagnosis or progress of disease.
Participates in the quality, process and performance improvement initiatives as requested
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program or minimum education required for credentials as listed below.
Experience: 2 years experience preferred in ultrasound imaging
Registered in ECHO by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International American Heart Association BLS certification
Other qualifications: Basic computer skills

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program and hold current registration in ECHO from the ARDMS or CCI. A minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound imaging is preferred, along with an American Heart Association BLS certification.
