About the role

This role supports the Thoracic and Congenital Heart Surgery team by managing clinic scheduling, medical records, and physician calendars. The position partners with clinical and operational leaders to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

· This role supports the Thoracic Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgery team, with a primary focus on clinic scheduling, obtaining outside medical records, and communicating directly with patients to coordinate appointments and care needs. In addition to managing physician calendars and administrative tasks, the position partners closely with physicians, APPs, and operational leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and an excellent patient experience behind the scenes. This role will be based downtown at Emerson Hall, and is not a patient-facing or clinic-based position.

  • Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative experience preferred.

  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.

  • Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have 0-3 years of relevant administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, along with the ability to work in a complex, matrix-style organization.
