• Schedule: Department operates 7 days per week. No overnight shifts required; on-call coverage only. Option #1: Covering call one weekday and one weekend shift a week/or 5 per month. Option #2: Rotating day and evening shifts with on-call responsibilities. About the job In this role the sonographer, under the general supervision of an attending radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, the ultra-sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care.

• Required: Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required;
• OR equivalent training acquired via work experience
• Specific
• Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program; Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology Less than one year of previous job-related experience New Graduates- 9-month ultrasound coursework experience including clinical rotation Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
