Sterile Processing Technician Certified - PRN - Weekend
The technician is responsible for receiving, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays. They also manage inventory, restock supplies, and prepare case carts for surgical procedures.
Job Purpose Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instruments trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts. Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program Or Surgical Technologist Program Or On the job training in a hospital based training program Licenses and/or Certifications: Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is the first full-service, acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an approved Sterile Processing or Surgical Technologist program. Certification by HSPA or CBSPD is required for this role.
