They will also act as a liaison between medical providers and social services to help patients navigate healthcare systems and access community resources.
The Registered Dental Hygienist will work independently or with a dentist to provide comprehensive oral health care, including performing periodontal therapy, charting, and debridement for patients with periodontal disease. Responsibilities also include performing examinations, taking radiographs, administering sealants and fluoride, and providing patient-specific oral hygiene instructions.
