The Peer Specialist promotes engagement, hope, and full integration for adults receiving psychiatric rehabilitation services by providing Peer Support Services and helping them explore options and gain necessary skills for success. Responsibilities include implementing peer support-oriented treatment plan interventions, providing support during transitions, and facilitating peer support groups.
A High School Diploma is required, though a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and candidates should have personal experience with recovery from psychiatric conditions or substance misuse, ideally with relevant training. Applicants must also possess a valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, and meet specific age and screening requirements.
Schedule: Sun 10am-2pm, Wed 8am-4pm, Fri 8am-4pm
$23.33 / hour
Sign On Bonus: $1,000; $333 upon completion of 30 days, $333 upon completion of 6 months, $334 upon completion of 9 months
The ACCS Peer Specialist promotes the engagement, hope and the full integration and functioning of adults with receiving psychiatric rehabilitation services needed to live successfully in the community. As an ACCS Peer Specialist you will provide Peer Support Services and help Persons Served explore their options and gain the confidence, skills, and resources needed to succeed in goals.
In this role you will draw upon your own personal experiences with recovery in order to successfully build skills needed for independency.
