The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing routine sonographic exams in inpatient or outpatient settings, adhering to established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. This role involves utilizing specialized equipment to produce sonographic images and entering patient data into hospital databases.
Candidates must have education equivalent to two to three years beyond high school or an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology or a related field, along with required experience in maternity care and obstetrics. Certification by ARDMS in the specific modality is required within 12 months of hire or before the ACR re-accreditation date.
Responsible for performing routine sonographic exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce sonographic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
