The Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate and manage patients with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease, while also diagnosing and treating sleep disorders like sleep apnea. Responsibilities include managing CPAP/BiPAP therapy, developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with pulmonologists, and providing patient education on various health topics.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and hold an active state license along with national board certification. Required qualifications also include DEA registration (or eligibility) and current ACLS certification, supported by strong clinical and communication skills.
Under the general Supervision of a physician, evaluate and manage patients with chronic respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and chronic cough Diagnose and treat sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, and hypersomnia. Manage CPAP/BiPAP therapy and adherence Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with board-certified pulmonologists Provide patient education on inhaler techniques, disease management, smoking cessation, and sleep hygiene Coordinate care with primary care providers and other specialists Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
