About the role

The physician will focus primarily on outpatient maternal-fetal medicine consultation and longitudinal management of high-risk pregnancies within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include advanced obstetric ultrasound, fetal diagnostics, preconception counseling, and coordination with the OB/GYN team, with limited/shared inpatient coverage.

Opportunity Information Sansum Medical Group is seeking a board certified or Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join our growing, collaborative women's health team. This is a unique opportunity to focus primarily on outpatient maternal-fetal medicine consultation and longitudinal high risk pregnancy management in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. This position will also have an administrative component, assisting with setting up an MFM practice and will serve as the MFM Department Head, under the Greater Central Coast's Division of the Women's Health Service Line. Majority outpatient MFM practice Program development and quality initiatives Consultation and co-management of high risk pregnancies Advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal diagnostics Preconception counseling and maternal optimization Coordination with our ob/gyn team of 9 physicians as well as a multispecialty medical group of 250 clinicians Limited/shared inpatient coverage (negotiable based upon preference) Opportunity for program development and quality initiatives.
