The role involves assessing a patient's ability to perform occupational skills, designing and implementing the appropriate plan of care, and documenting patient progress. Responsibilities also include educating patients and families, planning for discharge, and supervising therapy assistants and technicians.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, along with the required State Licensure for Occupational Therapy. Experience in an acute or rehab setting is preferred, and strong critical thinking and communication skills are necessary.
