Research Technician

Responsibilities

Responsible for cell culture and performing drug treatments Prepares lab reagents and media Performs protein expression and purification procedures Conduct standardized biological or biochemical assays and laboratory analyses, eg. TR-FRET, FP, pull downs, cell-based assays, western blot, flow cytometry Analyzes experimental data and interpret results to write reports, presentations, grant and publication preparation Uses computers, computer-interfaced equipment, robotics or high-technology applications to perform work duties. Maintains detailed notebook of all work-related activities Operation and maintenance of standard lab equipment Maintains and orders laboratory supplies Communicates with purchasing and may be responsible for negotiating with vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with a major in biology or “pre-med” preferred.
• Research experience (>1-2 yr) in molecular biology or biochemistry preferred.
• Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
• Must have close attention to detail and consistent work habits.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• A minimum time commitment of 2 years is preferred. Pay Transparency Statement The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications. For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). $47,500.00 - $51,300.00
