- The Clinic LVN position is responsible for following Medication Clinic protocols.
- Clinic will serve Adult/Child/Adolescent MH patients in clinic locations in five county area.
- Some travel to rural clinics in company vehicles may be required.
- Our services are provided to both local and rural jails via telemedicine services.
- Psychiatric services may be provided in face to face , telemedicine or other electronic means and competency in all these areas is required.
- Non-direct care activities include prepping and auditing the medical records for each visit prior to assessment by the physician or mid-level prescriber requesting laboratory studies and other diagnostic procedures; transcribing physician/physician extender orders as written; accurate calculation and writing of prescriptions of medication for physician review/signature (either in paper form or electronic health/prescribing records), assessment and reporting to the physician any symptoms, adverse reactions or change in client status.
- This position may be required to provide issuance of medications to properly identified patients from our Medication Room.
- License must be maintained as a condition of employment.
- Administratively the position reports to the RN Clinic Program Administrator.
Qualifications
- LVN licensed by the State of Texas.
- Experience in mental health and/or medical services for children and adults is preferable.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and is an insurable driver.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Excellent critical thinking/nursing process skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
Hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, flexible.
This is a Full-Time position. Benefits are available.
Will be eligible for a one- and two-year step increase, depending on satisfactory performance.
