The sonographer performs diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation. This includes setting up and adjusting equipment, performing routine and complex studies, and ensuring prompt submission of all images to PACS.
Candidates must complete a Sonography program and obtain ARDMS or CCI registry in Vascular within 12 months of hire, although no prior experience is required. Essential physical requirements include constant standing/walking, frequent use of vision and hearing, and frequent lifting/moving of patients.
