The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment. They assist physicians with advanced procedures related to the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases and ensure continuity of patient care delivery.
Candidates must be graduates of a Respiratory Therapy program and hold relevant certifications such as BLS, CRT, and RRT. Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP are required within 6 months of placement in designated areas.
Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program Licensure, Registration, Certifcation: BLS Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Or Registered (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification within 6 months of placement in position will be required in designated areas as determined by administration Desired Qualifications: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in respiratory science
Responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment and using additional competencies to assist physicians with advanced procedures related to the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases. Ensures the continuity of patient care delivery within an assigned area by providing direct personal care, rehabilitative measures, and supportive services.
