The physician will primarily engage in outpatient practice while collaborating with a hospitalist team for inpatient care. They will work closely with a radiation oncology team and be part of a larger medical group.
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology and able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Iowa. They should also hold current authority to prescribe medications and be eligible to work in the United States.
Full time position with predominantly outpatient practice. Inpatient care will be in collaboration with our exceptional and high-quality hospitalist team. Work closely with our expert radiation oncology team at UnityPoint Health – DM. You will enjoy being part of a strong medical group. UnityPoint Clinic employs the largest primary care network in the Des Moines metro. We also have numerous employed medical and surgical specialists. We are aligned with community imaging, pathology, GI, and urology groups. Enjoy the ease of our integrated electronic health record. EPIC is utilized across the entirety of UnityPoint Health. Be part of something bigger. UnityPoint Clinic has existing medical oncology practices in Waterloo and the Quad Cities. We deliver pediatric, adolescent and young adult oncology care to children and AYA’s from across Iowa at Blank Children’s Hospital located in Des Moines. You will have access to clinical trials through the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program. You will have access to all the resources of John Stoddard Cancer Center.
