About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant will collaborate with the rehabilitation team to deliver therapeutic interventions and educate patients on mobility and safety strategies. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring the treatment environment is clean and well-stocked.

Responsibilities

Observe and report resident progress, responses, and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated resident care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies Support functional rehabilitation goals aimed at improving independence and quality of life Maintains a safe and orderly work environment by performing duties such as routine cleaning of equipment, changing mat sheets and pillow cases between patients, restocking linen and returning equipment and supplies to their proper location Help with stocking treatment rooms

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an approved two year Physical Therapy Assistant program, with an Associates in Applied Science, majoring as a Physical Therapy Assistant. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must have IL and/or IA state licensure *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate in Applied Science degree from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program. Additionally, valid state licensure for Illinois and/or Iowa is required.
