Room patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and accurately document information in the electronic health record (Epic) Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other treatments within the LPN scope of practice Provide patient education on medications, chronic disease management, preventive care, and follow-up instructions Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prescription refills, and continuity of care Respond to patient phone calls, messages, and clinical questions while collaborating with the care team Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment while supporting quality patient care
Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Iowa Previous clinic, ambulatory, or internal medicine experience preferred, but not required Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience with Epic electronic health records is a plus For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or float to other clinic locations to support patient care and staffing needs
Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Iowa. Previous experience in a clinic or internal medicine setting is preferred but not required.
